2025 Annual Report
Energy, Environment, Sustainable production and consumption, Dietary education
1. “Fostering Respect for Others Through Multi-Grade Interaction”
The Assembly Committee took the lead in planning and implementing student assemblies. They held assemblies utilizing mixed-grade friendship groups, helping students understand each class’s strengths. They also deepened connections through school-wide walking rallies in mixed-age groups. Through interactions with older students demonstrating leadership, students cultivated respect for others.
2. “Spreading Awareness Through Committee Activities”
Each committee devised and implemented activities related to the SDGs.
The Welfare Committee collected recyclable resources like milk cartons; the Lunch Committee introduced fun facts about the menu via announcements;
and the Broadcast Committee featured SDG quizzes during the noon broadcast. These activities engaged the entire school.
3. “Continuing Lesson Improvement from the Perspective of ‘Active, Interactive, and Deep Learning’”
Faculty members observed each other’s classes and worked together as a unified team to improve lessons.
Examples include:
1st Grade: Life Skills “Love Autumn!”
Students collected natural items like fallen leaves, acorns, and pinecones to make fun toys. They invited children from a nearby kindergarten to hold an autumn festival. This activity fostered an appreciation for cherishing irreplaceable nature.
5th Grade: Integrated Studies “Aiming to Become Rice Masters!”
Through growing rice in buckets, students learned about Japanese agriculture and food culture. Hearing directly from rice farmers made them realize the challenges of food production and the importance of natural resources, strengthening their resolve to reduce food waste. Additionally, cooking and eating rice in home economics class helped them understand how deeply food connects to their lives and the importance of being mindful of actions from production to consumption.
