Secretariat for UNESCO ASPnet in Japan

The Secretariat for UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet) in Japan facilitates a wide range of activities. This encompasses the administrative processing of ASPnet membership applications, as well as the provision of support for existing ASPnet member schools.

1. ASPnet Membership Application Support

The secretariat provides support for all aspects and stages of the membership application process, supplying schools with necessary information at each subsequent stage. Other forms of support include liaison with the relevant parties involved in the application process (e.g., the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and ASPUnivNet), translation, and issuance of the UNESCO ASPnet membership applications guide.

2. Organisation of Training Sessions and Discussion Fora

The secretariat plans and implements training sessions and discussion fora in accordance with contemporary issues and needs. Schools may also consult with the secretariat should they wish to request for lecturers and speakers at particular events.
