2025 Annual Report

The Tokyo Metropolitan Suginami Sogo High School aims to realize “self-realization, international people, and lifelong learning” with the slogan “Let’s connect our aspirations to the world” while making use of “career education.”
Through international exchange activities and international understanding education programs, our school continues to make various efforts to develop human resources to respect and recognize each other’s individuality, respect each other’s individuality, and realize a peaceful and rich society.
In addition, in educational activities such as a number of elective subjects, subject research, and a comprehensive exploration time centered on “human beings and society” set up by Tokyo Metropolitan Government, lessons related to UNESCO’s concept of ESD are provided.
In 2025 year (the seven year of the Reiwa era), the following measures were taken in particular.

1. Sister school exchange and sister school exchange
(1) Sister school Seoul Meister High School (Going to Korea)
Twenty-nine students went to Korea from Aug. 2 to Aug. 4 to take a walk in Seoul, exchange various exchanges and activities for each theme and goal.
(2) Sister school Korea Geirin Design High School
Nineteen students and two teachers came to school on Oct. 29 and had various exchanges with our students, including class and club activities.
(3) Sister School Taiwan Intellectual Vocational School
Second-year students took a school trip to Taiwan and carried out activities on their respective themes as second-year students.
(4) Sister school Seoul Meister High School (visit Japan)
102 students and 8 teachers from Seoul, South Korea, came to school on Nov. 20 to experience various classes from ordinary subjects to welfare subjects with students of this school, and various exchanges including HR and club activities. In addition, we continued to carry out activities according to the theme with Buddy students in (1).
(5)Tomba High School, Sweden
One student came to school from April 14 to April 19, and our students became exclusive buddies and had various exchanges with various students, including class and club activities.
2. Overseas Inter-School Exchange
(1)Waiting UAE
Four students participated in overseas dispatch training from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2, and each student at the local school held exchange activities with a goal on Oct. 2. In addition, various learning activities were conducted through visits to companies such as large waste disposal power generation facilities.
(2) Sister school Korea Geirin Design High School
Through the Korean language course Hangul 3 class of 28 students in the third year, online exchanges were conducted on the schedule of 5/14, 5/28, 6/11, 6/18, 10/22, 11/26, and 12/10. It is a project to learn each other’s culture and deepen friendship through language activities, basically in Korean for our students and in Japanese for Geirin Design High School students.
(3) Sister school Korea Mirin Meister High School
Through club activities in the Korean club, online exchanges will be held in late March. It is a project to learn each other’s culture and deepen friendship through language activities, with our students doing it in Korean and Meister High School students doing it in Japanese.
(4) Acceptance of short-term visits (Australia)
On April 17, 23 high school students and two teachers from Cheltenham Girls’ High School in Australia visited the school to exchange club activities and experience class activities through club activities with our students.
(5) Acceptance of short-term visits (UAE)
On July 30, 30 UAE high school students and teachers came to the school to interact with our students through club activities and experience Japanese culture.
3. Other Programs
(1) Indonesian Volunteers
Between July 30 and August 13, seven students exchanged culture with people, people and local students, helped them clean up and take care of them, helped them study English and Japanese, and volunteered to introduce them to Japan.
(2) Training at Busan University of Foreign Studies in Korea
From Aug. 4 to Aug. 20, 29 students conducted short-term language training at Busan University of Foreign Studies to promote their efforts as a general department and UNESCO activities, as well as various exchange activities with Korean university students, local high school students, and Koreans of various ages.
(3) Interaction with the Tokyo Institute of Korean Education and related government-affiliated companies
More than 65 Korean language students visited the Tokyo Institute of Education, the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korea Content Agency, the Japan Office of the Korea Tourism Organization, the Foundation for Cultural Properties, and the Korea Agricultural and Fishery Food Distribution Corporation.
(4) Training at the Mongolian Embassy
On Oct. 19, he paid a courtesy visit to the Mongolian Embassy to broaden his horizons on a wide range of fields, including Mongolia’s history, culture and economy.
