School Philosophy and Educational Activities

Our school is guided by the following three educational principles:
1) to develop students’ ability for self-directed inquiry and independent thinking
2) to foster a sound sense of ethics
3) to cultivate the qualities required of global citizens

1. Education to foster self-directed inquiry and independent thinking
One of the fundamental goals of our educational practice is to develop students’ ability to research independently and think critically. As part of this effort, students engage in a research project throughout their three years of high school.

Students’ interests are diverse. These research projects value each student’s individual ideas and aim to nurture their unique talents. Using a variety of methods such as fieldwork and experiments, students ultimately compile their findings into a research paper.
