At our school, we develop a wide range of educational initiatives centered on the integration of “Dream Education” and “SDGs Education.”
This year, we placed particular emphasis on ensuring that as many students as possible understand the importance of the SDGs and the value of critical thinking. To this end, we made the SDGs Action Contest a school-wide, all-student initiative and implemented various programs utilizing the SDGs Co-Creation Lab, which was established in the previous academic year.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Dream Education Promotion Department, we place great importance on maintaining an objective perspective by measuring outcomes through quantitative indicators. Through these efforts, we aim to promote ESD education that maximizes educational impact and effectiveness.
Annual Work Plan
Integration and Advancement of Dream Education and SDGs Education
- Our school’s unique approach to Dream Education has a strong affinity with the SDGs. Under the educational slogan of “Collecting Gratitude,” we aim to nurture students who can grow into individuals capable of living for the sake of others. By consistently reinforcing this value through daily homeroom activities and other school settings, we seek to cultivate the ability for students to view social issues as their own and to engage with them proactively.
Promoting Faculty Understanding of ESD
- In order to effectively educate students, it is essential that teachers themselves possess a sufficient level of knowledge and understanding. As in the previous academic year, we will continue to collaborate with the Human Resources Development Department to enhance teacher training. Through these efforts, we aim to ensure that each teacher—who interacts directly with students on a daily basis—acquires the capacity to implement ESD education in practice.
Enhancement of the SDGs Co-Creation Lab
- We will further enrich the exhibits of the SDGs Co-Creation Lab, a space where students and visitors can learn about the SDGs through hands-on experiences. By doing so, we aim to establish an educational framework that enables a deeper understanding of the SDGs from multiple perspectives.
