【Call for Participation】2025 Youth Innovation: Collaborating to Improve and Protect our Planet (CIPP)

Launched under the UNESCO framework, the global campaign 2025 Youth Innovation: Collaborating to Improve and Protect our Planet (CIPP), organized by International Center for UNESCO ASPnet(ICUA), builds on the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, which received more than 30,000 creative submissions from children and youth across 12 countries and regions. The upcoming edition, running from June 2025 to January 2026, will adopt the theme “Environmental and Cultural Sustainability”, inviting children and youth aged 5 to 17 to explore the interconnection between environmental protection and cultural heritage through creativity and innovation.

<How Can Students Participate?>
Participants aged 5-17 are encouraged to submit original works in one of several formats, including:

– Paintings
– Crafts
– Science posters
– Solutions
– AI short videos

All written or spoken content must be presented in English or Chinese.

The campaign welcomes submissions that explore one or more of the following six key themes:

  • Responding to Global Climate Change
  • Conserving Biological Diversity
  • Building Sustainable Communities
  • Protecting Water Resources
  • Safeguarding and Innovating Cultural Heritage
  • Advocating Clean Energy

Awards and Opportunities Beyond the Campaign The 2025 CIPP Campaign is not competition-oriented but aims to engage global participants in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

– The campaign’s award system includes
the Award for Leadership in Sustainable Innovation,
the Award for Pioneering Sustainability, and
the Award for Sustainability Exploration.
Every participant whose submission meets the standard requirements will receive a certificate of recognition.
– Special awards will be presented to participants who demonstrate exceptional talent and creativity within specific thematic areas.

In addition to these recognitions, outstanding participants will have the opportunity to attend winter/summer camps in China, with local accommodation and transportation costs covered.
